Fiji 2025: In Waters of Fiji Drinking Fiji Water

Our first two days on the South Pacific island of Fiji started with a day of sleeping in, late breakfast, and relaxing.

The beach was a darker color here, from the minerals inside the lava that makes up the island. Made for a rather unique walk along the beach experience. Later in the day, we made our way down to the adults-only pool, much quieter there but also had fun playing beach volleyball with a staff member, Joe.

Our funny for the day was a staff member named David. Not only did he help us get checked in when we arrived late the night before, he also seemed to be there with his great Fijian smile and fun demeanor throughout the day. We spotted him at various times, and he was the photographer for an impromptu sunset photo shoot for us.

After some super yummy dinner, we treated ourselves to some unique desserts, pictures included for your drooling pleasure 🙂

With our second full day in Fiji, we boarded a catamaran for a quick trip over to South Sea Island, a really small island just 30 minutes out into the South Pacific Sea that’s surrounded by abundant underwater sea life, including lots of coral that makes the water super clear. This spot was probably the best snorkeling I’ve done, with so much to see underneath the water line. There were blue starfish unique to Fijian waters, as well as so many other creatures.

As our funny for the day and as the title of this post implies, we took our Fiji bottled water out into the waters of Fiji for a refreshing drink of Fijian water 🙂

As we cruised back to the mainland, we had a treat that pictures just can’t do justice: a beautiful sunset over the island and sea. Wow!! One of the best I’ve seen. Sunset on the South Pacific was remarkable, and a view we won’t soon forget.
