Antigua and It’s 365 Beaches

It’s said Antigua has 365 beaches, one for every day of the year. A local guide took us out to many of his favorites and much more. Our favorite was Valley Church Beach aka Beach of a Million Shells, it’s not sand your walking on but tiny shells, and was a treasure chest of shells for Tammy. As the day passed we visited more and more including the beaches of Darkwood, Lovers, and Maurice. Such beauty here, and so many little creatures to see as well as crystal clear water. As we passed through the rainforest section of the island we were treated to fresh banana, black pinapple, and mango by sweet Elaine, she grew them herself and sells from her little mountaintop stand. Toward the end of the day we visited Devils Bridge and got to see a blow hole that shoots water from the Atlantic up through the rock surface.

We finished the evening with a sunset and a special loyalty dinner where Tammy entertained folks at our table with her special spoon on nose talent, even the Sandals management joined in, then arrived back to our room with towel swans and flower petals, nice gesture from housekeeping staff 🙂
